The room is built from nostalgic details — a salvaged antique back bar, vintage taxidermy, peanuts in the shell — creating an atmosphere that feels familiar, unpretentious and unmistakably Shady’s.

About the Role
As Head Chef, you will lead the kitchen’s operations and team culture, ensuring excellence across food, people and performance. You will work closely with the Culinary Director and venue leadership to ensure the menu, operations and team culture reflect the standards of Swillhouse.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading service from the pass while actively cooking during service
  • Running a tight, efficient kitchen in a small-format venue
  • Managing food cost, ordering, supplier relationships and stock control
  • Recruiting, developing and mentoring chefs across the brigade

About You

This role is ideal for someone early in their marketing career who is passionate about hospitality, social media and storytelling. You’ll work closely with our Marketing Director and venue teams to bring campaigns to life, manage day-to-day content across channels, and ensure everything we put out reflects the Swillhouse standard.

  • Create, capture and manage social media content across all venues, ensuring it reflects each brand’s identity
  • Own and maintain content calendars, planning posts, campaigns and key moments across the group
  • Assist in executing marketing campaigns across digital, social and in-venue channels
  • Manage Meta platforms, including organic content and paid campaigns
  • Update and maintain venue websites via WordPress, ensuring content is current and aligned with brand standards
  • Support the development of marketing collateral including EDMs, posters, menus and digital assets
  • Collaborate with venue teams to capture on-the-ground content, activations and key moments
  • Coordinate with external creatives including photographers, videographers and designers as needed
  • Support performance marketing across digital channels, tracking results and using insights to improve engagement, conversion and campaign effectiveness
  • Support the management of booking platforms (including SevenRooms) to ensure alignment with campaigns and guest experience
  • Assist in maintaining Shopify and other digital touchpoints to support promotions and sales

About You
You’re early in your marketing career, with a strong interest in content, social media and brand storytelling.

  • 1–2 years’ experience in a marketing, social media or content-focused role
  • A genuine passion for social media, with a strong understanding of platforms like Instagram and TikTok
  • Experience creating and scheduling content, with a good eye for tone, detail and brand consistency
