The Baxter Inn’s own, Bleeding Gums Blues Band 8PM

The Baxter Inn has long been synonymous with The Blues. In fact, whisky, bar room musings, and the emotive movement of The Blues have marched arm in arm since the discipline’s inception.

Sydney’s Blues scene is as healthy as it has ever been, talent is in no short supply, and so it was with much enjoyment that we sought to develop the perfect cast of characters for what would become the venue’s own House Band.

A cast rich in raw talent, lived-in experience, and the ever elusive – charisma.

This core band consists of brothers Paul & Noel Mason on guitar and bass consecutively, with Warren Trout on drums and most notably, a rotating door of special guests to lead the act from week to week.

Every Sunday, the doors fling open from 4, and like lightning over Luckenbach the glorious sounds of live Country roll through the Saloon.

Six criminals, hired to steal diamonds, do not know each other’s true identity. While attempting the heist, the police ambushes them, leading them to believe that one of them is an undercover officer.

A silver screen experience with Chartreuse on arrival, decadent dining, and tall pours of wine throughout.

Tickets are $165 and include canapés on arrival, popcorn, a buffet dinner at the intermission and free-flowing wine for the duration of the event.

For the first time, BALBI will appear in Restaurant Hubert’s hidden Theatre Royale – an underground treasure trove of old-world charm, decadent dining and transcendent theatre. This once-only, special event will occur on Sunday the 17th of December from 6pm.

The founding member and producer of Electric Hippies, Noiseworks, and enigmatic front man of 1980s new-wavers Mi-Sex – STEVE BALBI – will bring an eclectic reimagination of beloved songs, and tell-all stories to the Restaurant Hubert stage.

Designed to celebrate the release of new EP – Extraordinary Ordinary Life, guests will be treated to a fully customised two set show, starting intimate and ending electric, all divided by a French Feast intermission. Accompanying the journey will be canapés from Restaurant Hubert’s world renowned restaurant and bottomless magnums of wine passed freely down the aisles.

Two tiers of tickets are available:

• “Front Row Feast” front of stage, replete with all the trimmings. These tickets are highly exclusive, and reserved for those wishing to exist in the eye of the action, a fully immersive dining experience, punctuated by an intermission banquet of old world indulgence; and
• “Admission De Luxe” Theatre seats, privy to elevated view and substantial canapés from the Restaurant Hubert kitchen.
