Alberto’s Lounge is a place where good food, good music, good wine and good company meet on an equal footing. It’s an Italian restaurant and bar that is as loyal to the Italy of Lygon Street as it is to the alleyways of Rome, an Italy that is as alive in nightclubs and art-house cinemas as it is trattorias and farmhouses.
At Alberto’s Lounge the gelato and ricotta are made daily, the pasta machine shares pride of place with a robata grill, and the chefs work to present flavours from across Italy’s regions in a way that is always fresh and delicious. Barolo and Barbaresco stand tall in its cellar alongside the wines of Arianna Occhipinti, Josko Gravner and artisan producers from around Italy, Australia, and the wider world.
It’s a dream of Italy that is also true to its Australian roots, an intimate space that is big enough to hold Ettore Sottsass and Allie Webb, funk and groove, amaro and mezcal.
