About Swill

MYFFY

There’s nothing easy about Swill. Each cover is cut by hand and printed locally by our Art Director, Allie Webb. We work closely on both sides of the lens – both with our photographers to develop the stories they want to tell, and with writers from across the globe, from all walks of life. When it comes to ideas, we tend to go by gut instinct, which means rhyme, reason and sense are out the window before we’ve even started. Because of all that, what you get is something authentic. A celebration of creative freedom, originality and the beauty of self-expression. Embrace chaos, don’t fight it.

Swill Magazine is edited by Myffy Rigby. Myffy Rigby is an Australian writer, editor, cookbook author and presenter. Her work has appeared in Bon Appetit, Lucky Peach, Conde Nast Traveller, Gourmet Traveller, Time Out, AFAR, Good Weekend, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, Good Food, and Sunday Magazine. Before launching Swill, she edited titles such as Time Out and The Good Food Guide – the country’s most prestigious and influential restaurant guide. She co-authored the cookbook, Recipes for a Good Time; has appeared on Masterchef Australia; SBS The Cook Up; Netflix Chef’s Table and currently hosts her own show, What’s Good in the Hood. She is widely credited with bringing an accessible, fun and inclusive tone to a famously elitist and impenetrable food media culture. And that’s exactly what you’ll find within the pages of Swill magazine. A love letter to hospitality, with stories written by the greatest voices in food and drink, from all walks of life.
