Join us at our new restaurant, Barons. Classic British dining, nestled in Sydney Harbour.

Le Foote

Le Foote isn’t just a French bistro, it’s the kind of place that understands its role in the grand, timeworn ritual of eating well. It sits in Sydney’s Rocks, a neighborhood where the past still lingers, stitched into the cobblestones and the salt air drifting in from the harbor. An ode to the French bistro and wine bar, it’s a place of quiet corners and sunlit courtyards, where time slows and a good meal unfolds the way it should- gradually, with purpose, and always with wine.

The menu is built on the canon; escargot dripping in garlic butter, plateau de fruits de mer, grilled rock lobster, steak frites and French onion soup with that bronzed, blistered cap of cheese. Chunks of baguette, smeared thick with funky, salty butter. A salade Lyonnaise that respects the ratio of egg to lardon. And, naturally, martinis- sharp, cold, correct or the kind of Burgundy that makes you sit back in your chair and think about staying a little longer.

Drop in for an afternoon martini with friends, take your time over a long, slow meal in the courtyard, or grab a barstool for steak frites and a glass of something deep and brooding. Come pre-theatre, or post a gallery opening at the MCA, or simply because Tuesday deserves better.

A great bistro isn’t just a restaurant. It’s a rhythm. A ritual. A reason to sit a little longer, talk a little louder, and let the night unfold. At Le Foote, we’re here for it.

Provençal Lamb Feast

Doors

For one night only, Le Foote’s candlelit Cencio Dining Room presents a five-course celebration of Hampshire Down lamb from Kinross Station. This rare heritage breed showcases the depth and quality of Australian lamb. Developed by Brendan Fong, the menu features cuts from belly to saddle, prepared in Le Foote’s French-bistro style on the Josper grill, paired with a curated selection of Australian and European wines.

Beyond exceptional dining, the evening champions Two Good Co.’s Work Work program, which gives women with lived experience of homelessness, domestic violence, and complex trauma the opportunity to learn butchery and develop industry skills. Join us for a rare culinary experience that celebrates heritage produce, French technique, and life-changing hospitality initiatives.

La Femme Feast

Doors

This International Women’s Day, Le Foote hosts a special Sunday lunch in the open-air Cencio Dining Room, bringing together four female chefs from across the Swillhouse group for a collaborative, seasonal menu that celebrates women in food and wine.

Working alongside Swillhouse Culinary Director Brendan Fong, chefs from Le Foote, Restaurant Hubert, Alberto’s Lounge and Barons will each contribute a course to a five-course banquet that reflects their individual styles while sitting comfortably within Le Foote’s Provençal-leaning, produce-driven approach.

The menu is paired with an optional premium wine pairing celebrating iconic women in wine, women winemakers and figures whose influence has shaped regions, styles and modern wine culture.

Designed as a shared table experience, this lunch is about collaboration, craft and recognising the women shaping our kitchens and cellars today.
